Building a company isn’t just about ideas and products. It’s about people, relationships, and a shared belief in what you want to achieve. For John Mannberg, CEO and founder of Hartic, and the team behind the company, the collaboration with investor Sara Gustafsson of Gustafsson Consulting AB in Boden was an important step in that direction.
When the decision was made to invest in Hartic, several factors played a role.
“We decided to invest in Hartic because we truly believe in the product, see a clear need in the market, and have great confidence in the company’s team,” says Sara Gustafsson.
She describes a market where many organizations want to improve their work environment but lack the right tools to do so in a structured and sustainable way.
– We see that many companies find it difficult to establish a solid framework for their occupational health and safety efforts. That’s where we believe Hartic can make a real difference.

A need that has become increasingly clear
For John Mannberg, the journey began with a recurring realization based on his experiences in the field with organizations.
“I’ve worked closely with organizations for many years and seen how difficult it can be to establish a structured approach to workplace safety. There’s often a desire to do the right thing, but a lack of tools to make the work easier and more practical in day-to-day operations,” he says.
Hartic was developed with the goal of doing just that: moving from one-off initiatives to a more continuous and data-driven approach.
– With Hartic, we want to make systematic workplace safety efforts more dynamic. It shouldn’t be something you do once a year, but rather a natural part of the organization’s development.
For Sara Gustafsson, it is precisely that combination that makes the product unique.
– We haven’t been able to find any other product on the market that truly helps companies both organize their work and address the soft values within the organization.
A Healthy Work Environment as a Competitive Advantage
As competition for skilled workers intensifies, particularly in northern Sweden, the workplace environment is becoming an increasingly important issue.
“Recruiting talent is particularly challenging in Norrbotten and Västerbotten. That’s why organizations need to be even clearer about their employer brand,” says Sara Gustafsson.
She believes that a structured approach to workplace safety not only creates better conditions internally but also strengthens the company’s position externally.
– Hartic is a fantastic tool for bringing structure to workplace safety efforts, which in turn leads to a more strategic approach and a clearer employer brand.
John Mannberg sees the same trend.
– When organizations start taking a more data-driven approach to the workplace and employee engagement, something changes. They shift from gut feelings to actual insights, which makes it much easier to make the right decisions.

More than just capital
For John Mannberg, choosing the right investor has been just as important as the investment itself.
– For me, it’s important to bring in investors who truly believe in what we’re building and who share our view that people are key to an organization’s success.
He also emphasizes the importance of local involvement.
– It’s especially rewarding to work with investors who are passionate about northern Sweden. Our goal is to continue growing and building our business with Norrland as our base.

– We’re especially excited to be able to invest in a company based in Boden that helps businesses create a better work environment. We’re passionate about both of these things.
A shared journey forward
Both Sara Gustafsson and John Mannberg agree that the journey has only just begun. Their goal is clear: to create long-term value for both organizations and individuals.
“We look forward to growing alongside the team and being part of the journey to make Hartic the go-to tool for any company that wants to build a thriving organization,” says Sara Gustafsson.
For John Mannberg, the future is about continuing to move in the same direction.
– Our goal is for Hartic to become the go-to tool for organizations that want to take a long-term approach to both performance and well-being.
