In an industry where technical expertise often takes center stage, it’s easy to forget the people behind the blueprints. At A-metodik, it’s the opposite. Here, people are the foundation of everything.
We meet Jimmy Eriksson, CEO since 2012, who warmly and clearly explains how the company has grown from a small group into an inclusive and thriving workplace where there’s room for both heart and mind.
When the journey began
“My friend Tommy Wallin asked me if I wanted to help out with the business, and it was an easy decision to jump on board,” says Jimmy.
When he took over as CEO and co-owner just over ten years ago, the goal was clear: to build a more robust organization with a larger workforce and a long-term perspective.

“There were only four of us back then. There was a certain vulnerability in being so few. If anyone got sick, things would come to a standstill. I wanted to create a workplace where people could both grow professionally and feel secure, and where there was someone to have coffee with.”
A lot has happened since then, but the core remains the same: a personal, inclusive, and dedicated approach to both people and technology.
An open door and a cup of coffee
Walking into A-metodik’s office isn’t like walking into just any office.
“You’re welcomed with open arms, offered a cup of coffee, and met by people who want you to feel at home, no matter who you are,” says Jimmy. “It’s not just something we say. It’s something we live by—and something we hear often.”
At A-metodik, professionalism and personal growth go hand in hand. Here, every employee has the opportunity to grow at their own pace, without being forced into predefined career paths.
– We don’t pigeonhole people. If you want to grow, we’ll find ways to make that happen, whether it’s within the company or outside of it. The important thing is that you feel in control of your own development.

A-metodik’s core values (Committed, Professional, and Team Players) aren’t just empty words on a wall. They are principles that guide our daily work.
– We’re confident in who we are and why we do what we do. For us, it’s not prestige that drives us, but the team. It’s everyone’s responsibility to contribute, both to our projects and to our culture.
The employees take pride in their professional expertise, and it shows. The entire team is featured on the A-metodik website, complete with photos and names.
– We have talented people. Of course we should showcase them! There’s no reason to hide the expertise we have.
Being a Truly Attractive Employer
When Jimmy is asked what it means to be an attractive employer, he doesn't hesitate to answer.
– It’s all about honesty and balance. You should be able to coach floorball in the evenings while still taking pride in what you do at work. We’re not a company where you have to fulfill your entire life’s purpose—but you should feel happy, grow, and thrive.

For A-metodik, it’s all about the long term and sustainability—not just in our projects, but in our relationships as well. And that starts right from the recruitment process.
– You can’t make promises you can’t keep. That’s how you lose people’s trust. We make sure our words and actions are always in sync. Maybe that’s why people sometimes only stay at other places for a few months. We want more than that.
With Hartic in your toolbox
To continue growing, both as an employer and as a workplace, A-metodik decided to start working with Hartic.
“It was appealing to be able to measure things in real time,” says Jimmy. “Previous models gave us results so long after the fact that we’d lost touch with the situation. With Hartic, we can act on the spot.”

Hartic is actively used in everyday work today. Pulse surveys dialogue tools make it possible to continuously monitor employee well-being and the work environment.
– The great thing is that Hartic doesn’t just measure; it also provides concrete recommendations for action. This fosters productive internal dialogue with a positive and forward-looking tone. Employees feel that they are being listened to.
And that goes for when things are going well, too.
– We’re a thriving company. But that’s exactly why we need to keep working hard. It’s easy to think that you only need to improve when things are going badly. I believe the opposite is true. When things are going well, that’s when you can afford to get even better.
